The Krane is a Non-Profit Arts Organization that connects artists
to the community through outreach, production, and interdisciplinary workshops.

Our outreach program, House of Art, brings arts education to homeless teens. The goal is to connect Miami artists to underserved groups, who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities. We also help develop and promote the work of our teaching artists through yearly productions and workshops, which are open to the general public, and help to enrich the local community.

Part 1 of the process, READINGS, June 23, 2014.

In the Fall of 2013, The Krane -- a multidisciplinary arts company based out of Miami -- paired five writers with five "outsiders." The writers were asked to interview and follow their subjects around, until they understood what makes their subjects who they are -- what makes them "outsiders."

Our workshops are open to the public and align themselves thematically with our yearly productions. These range across the spectrum of the arts and are led by our teaching artists.

Workshops

Our workshops are open to the public and align themselves thematically with our yearly productions. These range across the spectrum of the arts and are led by our teaching artists.

The main focus of our outreach is a program called House of Art. House of Art, formerly known as Tree of Life, teaches underprivileged and homeless teens ages 12-17 how to create live theater experiences in collaboration with professional artists.
